I'm not sure about the 6) but I've heard that places like Sally Beauty are good places to buy stuff like flat irons.

I am a hairstylist and I have used many different straighteners. i started out with CHI of course, but 5 years later when it went out, I tried a hot tools, (good), protouch (better), and I won a paul mitchell iron, I love it. so there are alot of great ones out there without the CHI label on it.
You have Cleopatra hair lol..so thick and black and pretty! Thats a good flat iron, i remember seeing it at Sallys for $70 bucks or something =] Nice outcome.

I have thick, course hair. I have the Jilbere Titanium and I love it. I intially bought the Jilbere Ceramic and returned it because it didn't work as well – it didn't get my hair as smooth as I wanted.

Ive had 1 Jilbere de Paris flat iron for almost 3 years n i love it. I would highly recommend it over any other flat iron.
Yes, as you can tell from my pic I have very thick curly hair, and I have that type of flat iron, the ceramic kind, I got it from Sallys and it straightned my hair really well…I highly recommend it!!!Hope I helped.
Jilbere de Paris is the ABSOLUTE WORST BRAND for straighteners ever. I bought one and it takes up to 5 minutes to heat up and it rips your hair out. It doesn't even straighten properly, it takes up to an hour or sometimes two.
And I have REALLY thick wavy hair..

THEY ARE AWESOME!!!!!!! My mom bought me a titanium one and it is so FAST. I have super thick curly hair and normally it takes a long time to straighten (once to me and my sister half hour to get half my hair straight), but that iron is so fast. I know i said that already, but it really is. I LOVE IT!!

Chi really is the best but other similar good quality brands include GHD, Sedu, ISO. And less expensive (less quality) Conair. You relally wanna spend a good amount because it's worth it, you don't want your hair damaged!
